Two keys and one AI. Kalshi is where the bets happen, LazyEdge gives you the model's number for every game, and an AI (I use Claude; ChatGPT or Gemini work too) writes the program that connects them using your rules. You describe what you want in plain English; the AI builds it. That's how I built DDKBetBot.
Lets your program see the market price and, if you want, place bets for you.
Lets your program pull LazyEdge's chance for every game. Free with 5+ Lazy Lions.
You tell it the rules. It builds, tests and runs the automation.
An API key is a password for programs. It lets your bot talk to your Kalshi account without you logging in. It comes in two parts: a Key ID (like a username) and a private key file (like the password).
my-bot. Treat that file like your wallet seed phrase.Kalshi has a demo site with fake money, and the key setup is the same there. Have Claude build against demo first, then switch to the real account once you trust it.
Kalshi's own guide: docs.kalshi.com → API keys. Kalshi availability varies by state.
This one is the Lazy Lions utility. Hold 5+ Lazy Lions in a linked wallet and the key is unlocked.
my-bot folder. Same rule: never post it or paste it in a chat.LazyEdge publishes a guide written for AI agents at api.lazyedge.net/v1/skill. It explains every number and endpoint. Point Claude at it and it already knows how to read LazyEdge. Full reference: lazyedge.net/api-docs.
You want Claude Code, the version of Claude that can create files and run programs on your computer. The regular chat app can't run a bot for you.
my-bot folder, the one holding your two keys.Claude is what I use, but any AI that can run code on your computer works the same way. On ChatGPT, use Codex (openai.com/codex). On Google, use Gemini CLI (github.com/google-gemini/gemini-cli). Open it in your my-bot folder and paste the same starter prompt. Every prompt on this page works with any of them.
I want to build my own sports betting assistant. I'm not a coder, so explain each step in plain English. In this folder I have: - my Kalshi API Key ID and private key file - my LazyEdge API key First, read the LazyEdge agent guide at https://api.lazyedge.net/v1/skill and Kalshi's API docs at https://docs.kalshi.com. Then: 1. Move my keys into a .env file that the program reads. Never print a key on screen, and never put one in code or a log. 2. Write a small script that checks both connections: show my Kalshi balance, and list today's NFL games with LazyEdge's chance next to the Kalshi price. 3. Do NOT place any bets yet. Show me the results and wait for me.
If the check shows your balance and a list of games, both keys are connected. If something fails, just tell Claude what you see. It will fix it.
Now you just describe rules. Climb this ladder one rung at a time. Don't skip to real money.
Every 5 minutes, compare LazyEdge's chance with the Kalshi price for every NFL and NBA game today. When LazyEdge is at least 5 points higher than the price (after Kalshi's fee), send me an alert with the team, both numbers and the gap. Send it to my phone through a Telegram bot, and walk me through setting that bot up. Never alert the same game twice. No betting.
Using the same 5-point rule, record a pretend $10 bet on every game that qualifies, at the price it would actually have filled at. After each game ends, grade it. Give me a daily summary: record, profit or loss, and whether we beat the closing price. Don't use real money.
Turn the paper bets into real Kalshi bets with these limits: - $10 per bet, never more than $10 on one game - max $50 a day total - only bet before the game starts - if a file named STOP exists in this folder, place no bets at all - text me every bet it places Run it on my demo account first and show me the bets it placed. Only switch to my real account when I say so.
Make this run on its own on my computer every 5 minutes, even after a restart. Tell me how to check that it's running and how to turn it off.
Then make it yours: different sports, a bigger or smaller minimum gap, bigger bets on bigger gaps, live in-game bets, a daily recap posted to X. Same pattern every time: describe the rule, have Claude test it on paper, then turn it on.
The computer it runs on has to stay on. Want it running 24/7? Ask Claude to move it to a small cloud server.
Never paste a key into a chat, a screenshot, a Discord or an X post. Anyone with your Kalshi key can trade your account. If one leaks, delete it in Kalshi or LazyEdge and make a new one.
Educational, not financial advice. I'm a Lazy Lions holder, not part of the LazyEdge team. LazyEdge is built by @kaneco. Steps current as of November 2026; menus on Kalshi and LazyEdge can move.
